This single-take video documents part of a walk in an urban nature reserve in Bolton, Lancashire (UK), with the prompt to "follow the stream".
While some performative nature is inevitable due to the act of being filmed, my reluctance to leap across the stream was not consciously exaggerated.
"The Edge Of All Things (I)" (Nov. 2020)
This single-take video documents part of a walk in the Greater Manchester suburb of Urmston (UK), with the prompt to "follow water guides".
I experimented here with adding background music to the walk, and felt it created an artificial atmosphere which was not helpful.
The title references a piece by the band Hammock called "I could hear the water at the edge of all things".

The observational nature of the walk was interrupted by an encounter with a tiny worm, struggling in the current.
